So you are planning to be in San Diego
several days before or after IWSP6, or you are thinking about
bringing your family with you, or you are also attending the Society
for Neuroscience annual meeting and you are wondering what there is
to do in San Diego. The list is long and includes SeaWorld,
San Diego Zoo, museums, beaches, water sports and much more. Here is a link
to
SanDiego.org
which is "The Official Travel Resource for the San Diego Region."
It's all there - maps, activities and special offers.
Another resource for making your plans is
The San
Diegan which is a website full of suggestions for
activities, restaurants, attractions, museums, etc. and has coupons
for discounts and special offers. You can request to have a
free copy of their magazine sent to you or you will find a copy in
your room at the Bahia.
Watersports! Since the Bahia is physically on Mission Bay
and only two blocks from the Pacific Ocean, watersports are
definitely to be considered. This includes stand up paddle
boards, body boards, peddle boats, kayaks, funcats, powerboats,
catamarans and sailboats.
Resort Watersports has a kiosk at the Bahia to rent these
items as well as bicycles, Segways, and more.
